Ponyo is a mischievous and adventurous little goldfish who meets Sosuke, a five-year-old boy who lives by the sea with his mother. Sosuke gently cares for Ponyo and quickly wins her heart. Magically transforming herself into a little girl, Ponyo embarks on a series of adventures with her new friend. But Ponyo's desire to be human upsets the delicate balance of nature and triggers a gigantic storm.
