Lola’s Kitchen crowned Queen of Cupcakes by Everyman
The Great Cake Off went down a storm with participants getting the chance to guzzle fabulous fancies, from ganache to gateux, cheesecake to chocolate, not to mention Tunisian citrus soaked spice cake and mouthwatering mini-macaroons!
And all in the interests of cake-ology into who could be crowned the cake-making queen or King of Hampstead.
The votes have now been counted and we can reveal that independent cake-makers Lola’s Kitchen are the winners. Lola’s supplied guests with soft and sticky cheesecake, elegant chocolate chiffon, and fluffy banana cake, whilst runners up in second place, Paul tempted the judges with delicious petit fours and custard fruit slices. In third place, traditional fayre Once Upon A Table, The Buttery Cafe, Burgh House were responsible for the Tunisian citrus cake which delighted guests with its home made feel.
With thanks to all participants including Louis, Rosslyn Delicatessen, Maison Blanc, Gails, Selina Chew and Carluccios. The remainders of the cake-off were donated to the Royal Free Hospital to treat their fantastic and hard-working team of staff, along with proceeds from the event.
