Warm up this winter with Everyman
In the month leading up to Christmas, Everyman Cinemas returns to the depths of The Old Vic Tunnels screening a series of enchanted films in our cavernous Winter Wonderland, hidden beneath the streets of London. Make your way over the volcanic lake, past the northern lights installation and through the thick of falling snow to a state-of-the-art snow-capped cinema set in amongst the trees of an alpine forest. During the day, the forest is the ideal place for families to get into the Christmas spirit, with giant woodland games for children, hot chocolates, a wide array of hot snacks and wonderful, magical films to choose from. In the evening the forest transforms into a chilled bar, featuring live music by Franky and the Jacks every Saturday night. The space also flaunts intimate log cabin bars and après food stalls selling roasted chestnuts, home-made pizzas, alpine bratwurst, mulled wine and hot cider. Enchanted Pictures celebrates some of cinema’s most beloved and fantastical films to warm you up this winter... not least of all is Frank Capra's 1946 bitter-sweet classic It’s a Wonderful Life.
