The Boy Downstairs
Zosia Mamet deservedly takes centre-stage in this charming, Ephron-esque indie rom-com as Diana, a young writer who moves back to New York City after a long stay in London. She moves into a brownstone only to discover that her ex-boyfriend Ben (Matthew Shear) is living downstairs, and things start getting complicated.
Debut director Sophie Brooks delivers an appealingly fresh and uncomplicated film about relationships, offering a simple set up while skilfully providing an insight into young love.
