High Hopes by director Mike Leigh, tells the story of a working-class couple living in London's Kings Cross. Tackling ideas about age, class and the development of this corner of London, a discussion and Q&A by King's Cross Story Palace and residents who have participated in their project will follow the film.
King’s Cross Story Palace is a two year project that tells some of the stories that have been important to the people that have lived, worked and played in the King's Cross areas over the last 100 years. This exclusive screening with Everyman King's Cross conincides with the launch of their final exhibition held from 14th - 27th November at Pancras Square Library.
Their two-year project has been made possible by National Lottery players through a £663,900 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and is being delivered by Historypin and The Building Exploratory.
