After one romp too many, our favourite wisecracking, animated cat is down to his last life and hiding out in a cat refuge. To restore his nine lives he goes on an adventure to find The Wishing Star, dodging enemies, picking up sidekicks and discovering how sacred life can be when you only have one. Characters return from the original Puss in Boots - released 11 years ago as a Shrek spin-off - namely love interest Kitty Softpaws (Salma Hayek), who keeps things purring along. Meanwhile Puss must evade The Big Bad Wolf, and a more aggressive than usual, Goldilocks (Florence Pugh in her first voice role) backed up by Mama Bear (Olivia Colman)and Papa Bear (Ray Winstone).
