A nightmare team has assembled to give Stephen King’s 1973 short story the feature film treatment. As Sadie (Sophie Thatcher) and Sawyer (Vivien Lyra Blair) deal with the devastating loss of their mother, their emotionally distant psychiatrist father (Chris Messina) is visited by a desperate patient whose children all died in bed after crying out the word, “Boogeyman!”. Director Rob Savage made his name with a double-whammy of low-budget horror films, Host and Dashcam, while Thatcher shot to prominence in the plane crash-teen cannibal TV show, Yellowjackets.
