Amy Liptrot’s best selling 2016 memoir is brought to life in this drama film directed by Nora Fingscheidt. The Outrun (2024) tells the story of Rona (Saoirse Ronan) who has been living life on the edge in London, and is just recently out of rehab. Rona returns home to the wild beauty of Scotland's Orkney Islands and attempts to come to terms with her troubled past. Trying to heal and rebuild her life after addiction, Ronan must try to navigate the wildness of the temptations that pushed her to the point of destruction.
