Films for everyone working out during lockdown...

I Feel Pretty (2018)

What if you could wake up tomorrow and just feel pretty. Renee struggles with feelings of deep insecurity and low self-esteem that hold her back everyday when, one day, she wakes from a brutal fall in an exercise class believing she is a supermodel. Amy Schumer’s comedic flair is second to none.

I Feel Pretty

Forrest Gump (1994)

Run Forrest, run! A classic story of a fella who ran “three years, two months, fourteen days and sixteen hours” because he "felt like running". The presidencies of Kennedy and Johnson, the events of Vietnam, Watergate and other historical events unfold through the perspective of this Alabama man with an IQ of 75, whose only desire is to be reunited with his childhood sweetheart.

Brittany Runs A Marathon (2019)

A feel-good movie with a limited release just before we went into lockdown, so now might be a perfect time to catch up on this one! Chariots Of Fire (1981)

The tagline for ‘Chariots of Fire’ when it was originally released was “This is the story of two men who run… not to run… but to prove something to the world. They will sacrifice anything to achieve their goals… Except their honour.” Just what we said right after the last workout, just before ordering our classic Friday Spielburger.

Race (2016)

The incredible true story of gold medal legend, Jesse Owens, which took place in 1930s Nazi Germany. Owens' quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler's vision of Aryan supremacy.

Rocky (1976)

Rocky Balboa is a struggling boxer with a big heart trying to make it to the big time. When heavyweight champion Apollo Creed visits Philadelphia, his managers want to set up a match between Creed and a struggling boxer. The fight is meant to be a marketing ploy, a chance for a "nobody" to become a "somebody". The match is supposed to be easily won by Creed, but someone forgot to tell Rocky, who sees this as his only shot at the big time.

Cool Runnings (1993)

Also known as "Cold Buttocks" in Norway. The story of the first Jamaican Bobsled Team in history heading to the Olympics! John Candy plays a disgraced former Olympic gold winner who reluctantly agrees to coach the team on warm green fields of the island. You will find yourself rooting for the team with more feeling than you expect!
