Director Nia DaCosta and writer Alex Garland are back with the next chapter: 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple - serving as a sequel to 28 Years Later (2025) and exploring what happens after society collapses under the weight of infection and fear.

Serving as the fourth installment in the 28 Days Later Film Series, and the second film in a potential trilogy, it continues to uncover the corrosive effects of human evil. In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival - the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying.

Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes) - now finds himself in a shocking new relationship with consequences that could change the world as he knows it,  Spike's (Alfie Williams) encounter with Jimmy Crystal (Jack O'Connell) becomes a nightmare he can't escape. 

With an all star cast, including Ralph Fiennes, Alfie Williams, Jack O’Connell, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chi Lewis-Parry, and a glimpse of Cillian Murphy, which may set up the planned third film…

Did you know?

"28 Years Later" and "28 Years Later: The Bone Temple" were filmed back-to-back in summer 2024.

Filming took place across England, with scenes being filmed in Ennerdale, Cumbria, and the Bont Temple being constructed near the River Ure at Redmire.
