Soundtracking: Young Woman and the Sea

1h 40m
Soundtracking returns on May 28th with an exclusive preview of Young Woman and the Sea, followed by a live conversation with director Joachim Rønning and producer Jerry Bruckheimer presented by Soundtracking Podcast host, Edith Bowman . The extraordinary true story of 'Young Woman and the Sea' follows Trudy Ederle (Daisy Ridley), the first woman to successfully swim the English Channel. Through the steadfast support of her older sister and supportive trainers, she overcame adversity and the animosity of a patriarchal society to rise through the ranks of the Olympic swimming team and complete the staggering achievement – a 21-mile trek from France to England. This event is brought to you by Soundtracking, a film club in collaboration with Edith Bowman, where we bring you exclusive, live conversations with the incredible minds responsible for exciting new releases and all-time classics.
Cast: Daisy Ridley, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Stephen Graham, Christopher Eccleston, Kim Bodnia, Jeanette Hain, Ethan Rouse, Robert Eades
