What you need to know...
Sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker's heart.
After the record-breaking global success of No Way Home, the Marvel Cinematic Universe enters an entirely new, deeply personal chapter for its most famous hero. Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into Everyman on 31 July 2026, delivering a gritty, emotionally charged take on the web-slinger.
Four years have passed since Peter voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Now an adult living entirely alone, he operates without the safety net of the Avengers. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, Peter has dedicated his entire existence to protecting his city. But as the immense pressure intensifies, Peter undergoes a surprising physical evolution of his powers just as a powerful new street-level enemy emerges to threaten his very existence.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi), the film trades multiverse-ending stakes for a raw, character-driven story about adulthood and isolation. Tom Holland returns to deliver what is already being called his most profound performance as Peter, alongside Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. The stellar cast leans heavily into the city's criminal underbelly, featuring Jon Bernthal returning as The Punisher, alongside Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, Mark Ruffalo, and Sadie Sink.
Expect a tonal shift that balances the classic Spidey charm with real, bruising consequences, proving that the most difficult battles are fought on the streets of New York.
Did you know?
The film is dedicated to the late, legendary comic book writer Gerry Conway (1952–2026). Conway famously authored the iconic "Death of Gwen Stacy" storyline and co-created The Punisher in 1974, making Jon Bernthal's inclusion in this movie a highly fitting, full-circle tribute to his legacy.
