Beetlejuice Beetlejuice marks the long-awaited return of the mischievous, undead troublemaker in a sequel that promises to bring as much mayhem and dark humour as the 1988 classic. Directed by Tim Burton, the film picks up years after the original, with three generations of the Deetz family returning to their old home in Winter River after a tragic family event. Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder) is still haunted by the chaotic spirit of Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), but it's her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid (Jenna Ortega), who stumbles upon the model of the town in the attic and inadvertently opens a portal to the Afterlife. When Astrid unknowingly summons Beetlejuice by saying his name three times, the notorious demon returns with his signature blend of chaos, wreaking havoc across both the living world and the afterlife. As Lydia and her mother, Delia (Catherine O'Hara), struggle to contain the madness, new and familiar faces emerge, including a former B-movie actor turned afterlife detective (Willem Dafoe) and Beetlejuice’s mysterious wife (Monica Bellucci). With an ensemble cast that blends original stars with exciting new additions, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice revisits Tim Burton’s unique visual style and macabre humour, offering a fresh, yet nostalgic, adventure that will delight fans old and new.
