Speak No Evil is an upcoming American psychological thriller that promises to unsettle audiences with its intense and unnerving narrative. Directed by James Watkins and produced by Jason Blum through Blumhouse Productions, this film is a remake of the critically acclaimed 2022 Danish film of the same name. Set to be released on September 13, 2024, by Universal Pictures, Speak No Evil stars James McAvoy, Mackenzie Davis, Aisling Franciosi, Alix West Lefler, Dan Hough, and Scoot McNairy.
The story follows an American family who, after befriending a charming British family while on vacation, are invited to spend a weekend at their idyllic country estate. What begins as a seemingly perfect getaway in the picturesque British countryside quickly spirals into a twisted psychological nightmare. As the layers of civility peel away, dark and disturbing truths come to light, leading to an atmosphere thick with dread and tension.
