The Wild Robot follows the epic adventure of Robot Rozzum 7134 (Lupita Nyong'o), Roz for short, who finds herself washed ashore on an uninhabited island after a shipwreck, but to survive she must learn and adapt to the harsh environments. After many misunderstandings between Roz and the animals, her life changes when Roz becomes the unexpected adoptive parent of an orphaned baby goose (Kit Connor) and she begins to build relationships and bonds with the animals on the island, becoming a close-knit family. When Roz’s manufacturer sends a robotic invasion to find her and bring her back, Roz and her new family fight to save their island from destruction. Based on the book series by Peter Brown and brought to life by Dreamworks Animation and Universal Pictures, The Wild Robot stars Lupita Nyong'o as Roz, alongside an ensemble voice cast including Pedro Pascal, Kit Connor, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Mark Hamill, Catherine O'Hara, Matt Berry, and Ving Rhames.
