What you need to know...

The Stakes Have Never Been Higher.

Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe reaches a dramatic peak with Avengers: Doomsday, arriving at Everyman from 18 December 2026. After years of interconnected stories and sprawling world-building, Marvel’s next chapter thrusts Earth’s mightiest heroes and a legion of legendary allies into a confrontation that could reshape the universe itself.

At the heart of the film is Doctor Victor von Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr., making a striking return to the MCU - not as the familiar role of Iron Man, but as one of its most iconic villains. Doom’s rise marks a seismic shift in the franchise’s direction, uniting heroes and former foes alike to meet an existential threat.

Avengers: Doomsday brings together an unprecedented ensemble. Alongside stalwarts like Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, audiences will see a broad sweep of characters from across the Marvel cosmos: champions from Wakanda such as Shuri (Letitia Wright) and M’Baku (Winston Duke), members of the Fantastic Four including The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and even original X-Men favourites like Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, Ian McKellen’s Magneto and James Marsden’s Cyclops.

This dizzying mix speaks to Marvel’s willingness to erase old boundaries, drawing together Avengers, X-Men mutants, cosmic adventurers, and legacy heroes in a narrative where alliances are tested and every battle feels monumental. Early glimpses suggest sweeping multiverse implications, rich team-ups, and emotional confrontations that transcend simple action spectacle.

Behind the camera, the Russo brothers -  responsible for Infinity War and Endgame - return to direct, promising the scale, heart, and character drama that defined those landmark films. Composer Alan Silvestri, whose music helped shape the Avengers sound, is also returning.

Whether you’re a longtime MCU fan or curious about where the big screen superhero saga goes next, Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be a blockbuster event, one that dares to unify Marvel’s many threads into a single, universe-shaking crescendo.
