What you need to know...

Stranded. Alone.Terrified.

Sam Raimi, the director behind Evil Dead and Drag Me to Hell, returns to the horror-thriller genre with Send Help, landing at Everyman in February 2026. Raimi leans into his trademark mix of tension, dark humour, and inventive scares, turning a deserted island into a claustrophobic arena where survival is anything but certain. Every shadow feels threatening, every sound carries weight, and the rules of civilization no longer apply.

Rachel McAdams leads as Linda Liddle, a quiet, unassuming office worker whose life spirals into chaos after a plane crash leaves her stranded alongside her overbearing boss, Bradley Preston (Dylan O’Brien). Away from the office and all its rules, Linda begins to assert herself in ways she never dared before. What starts as basic survival slowly morphs into a tense, psychological struggle. Power shifts, alliances fracture, and both characters are pushed to their physical and emotional limits.

The trailer hints at darker possibilities. A hand emerging from the sand suggests the island may hide more than natural dangers, teasing a potential supernatural twist that keeps viewers guessing. Rain-drenched forests, dense jungle, and isolated beaches set the stage for brutal confrontations and high-stakes escape attempts. It’s a story that constantly challenges who we root for -  hero and villain are never as clear as they first appear.

Co-written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, known for Freddy vs. Jason, Send Help doesn’t rely solely on jump scares. Raimi carefully balances suspense with character-driven storytelling, building tension as trust frays and sanity wavers. The result is a horror-thriller that feels alive, unpredictable, and genuinely unsettling.
