Private Hire FAQs
CAN I HIRE ONE OF YOUR SCREENS FOR A PRIVATE EVENT?
All Everyman venues are available for private hire. Everyman has 12 venues in London (Chelsea, Broadgate, Crystal Palace, King's Cross, Canary Wharf, Muswell Hill, Barnet, Baker Street, Belsize Park, Hampstead, Maida Vale and Screen on The Green) and 23 across the United Kingdom (Lincoln, Manchester St. John's, Clitheroe, Wokingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Newcastle, Horsham, Liverpool, Altrincham, Stratford Upon Avon, Chelmsford, Harrogate, York, Bristol, Gerrards Cross, Esher, Oxted, Reigate, Walton, Winchester, Leeds and Mailbox Birmingham). In addition to our main screen hire, we also offer two bespoke event spaces, The Upper Lounge in Hampstead and Screen 5 ½ in Leeds.
WHEN IS THE SCREEN AVAILABLE FOR A HIRE?
For a detailed quote and availability, some basic information will be required (date, number of guests, duration of hire and any technical requirements necessary). We generally hire out our venues for 2.5 hours, please note that all slots require approval from our programming team before we can confirm availability. We offer morning, afternoon and evening slots with costs varying between off peak (09:30-13:00) and peak (13:00 – close) timings.
I AM A SHORT - FILM MAKER, WOULD I BE ABLE TO SHOW MY FILM AT AN EVERYMAN VENUE?
Everyman Cinemas can accommodate short film makers’ private screenings in any of our regular hire slots. To submit your request please email us with your film's description.
I AM PLANNING A FILM FESTIVAL, WHO CAN I TALK TO ABOUT THIS?
We are always interested to hear ideas about new film festivals and are happy to discuss hosting these on a private hire basis. We currently work with numerous associations and film festivals so we must consider whether your film festival will offer something pivotal to the UK film events calendar. DO YOU OFFER CATERING FOR PRIVATE HIRES?
All food and beverage from our Everyman menus are available to pre-order for private parties with food from the kitchen. We also have a kids' menu deal for £8.50 per child that includes either a pizza (pepperoni or margherita) or a burger (in selected sites), a soft drink (juice, water or a soft drink) and a portion of popcorn. The kitchen, we will need your final order and the quantities required at least one week prior to the hire date.
DO YOU OFFER CHARITY DISCOUNTS?
We don’t offer charity discounts for private hires.
WHAT CAN I WATCH DURING MY PRIVATE HIRE?
You can watch a film of your choice (old or new) or play your own content ie: picture slide show or presentation, during your private hire. We need to notify our programming team with your selection so they can confirm whether the license and content is available for the private hire. If a film is a new release there may be an additional premium charge to secure the title. We require a minimum of two weeks’ notice for this process. Alternatively if you have selected to play your own content, we are able to play material from DCP/KDM, DVD or a laptop, this would need to be tested in venue with our equipment at least two weeks prior to the hire date to ensure everything is compatible.
DO YOU HIRE YOUR SCREEN ON THE GREEN FOR WEDDINGS?
With its iconic façade lighting up Islington, this unique screen is the perfect location for a wedding or reception. This cinema has the licence to hold wedding ceremonies in front of the big screen and we can organise the drinks and catering.
ARE YOUR VENUES COVID SECURE?
Yes, we are following government guidelines to ensure our guests enjoy a safe experience in all our venues. We can host events for larger groups, we simply regulate entry to reduce interaction between parties. Our available seating is arranged to ensure people are safely spaced in accordance with current guidelines; but please note you must not mix with other guests to form larger groups. Hand sanitiser stations are clearly signposted throughout the venues and visitors are required to wear a mask unless eating or drinking. We strongly recommend pre-ordering to minimise contact – this allows us to safely serve you directly to your seat.
If we cannot honour your event as planned due to a change in government coronavirus restrictions we will work with you to hold your event deposit against a future date – or if preferred, we will cancel your event and provide a full refund. Any specific regional site closures will also be refunded based on site.
